• As a guest in "Voices of Our Community" honor society students' podcast at Onondaga Community College (OCC), I shared my inspiring journey from Afghanistan to USA, navigating English language challenges, ways to assisting new comers with their college preparation, and embracing new life in the US.
• I was the president of the Muslim Students Association (MSA) at Onondaga Community College (OCC), where I engaged in meaningful discussions, cultural exchanges, and community-building activities.
• During my brief experience as a translator for newly arrived immigrants in the US within the community, I assisted them in hospitals, in obtaining necessary identifications, and helped them in grocery shopping to ease their transition into a new community.
• Through Phi Theta Kappa (PTK) leadership team, I collaborated with Syracuse Educational Opportunity Center (SEOC), Interfaith Works, and Catholic Youth Organization, I provided guidance to newly arrived Afghan students, encouraging them to enroll in SEOC for educational support such as: obtaining their GED, college preparation, or participating in English Classes.
