During the Spring 2022 Semester I had my own clients in Truman State University's Speech and Hearing Clinic and in the Fall 2022, Spring 2023 and Summer 2023 at SEMOs Center for Speech and Hearing. I develop and execute lesson plans for twice a week including activities and strategies that will be implemented with the child. Starting in March 2024 I will be begin my externship through July 2024 gaining hands on experience, both sites in a medical setting working with both pediatric and adult patients.
I had the opportunity to teach English as a Second Language to Taiwanese students. I got the chance to coordinate with the student's teachers in Taiwan and develop lessons plans with their supervision and collaboration. I was able to learn more about their culture from the students themselves as well as develop my skills in teaching.
