Work History

Corporate Immigration Paralegal

Berry, Appleman & Leiden, LLC
11.2019 - 05.2023
  • I managed a heavy caseload of over 100 foreign nationals at a time for a large-scale client, assisting with different aspects of employment immigration. I have detailed experience with NIV visa cases, such as H-1B CAP, H-1B Extension of Status, H-1B Employee Transfers, H-4/ EADs, and TN visas. I also have experience with IV cases, including PERM, I-140 and Adjustment of Status. I was the main point of contact for each foreign national and managed a high volume of client communication, including email and video conferencing.

Record Manager/Conflict of Interest Investigation

Carrington, Coleman, Sloman & Blumenthal, LLP
03.2005 - 08.2019
  • I managed and prepared documents for concluded cases. This included the review of all case documents and assigning an internal closing number as well as corresponding code to each outgoing file. I also was responsible for resolving all accounting for the matter and working to resolve any outstanding balances. I also researched and recalled files as needed by clients or attorneys. This also included detailed data entry into an internal accounting/records system for each matter. In addition, I worked closely with attorneys as well as clients to maintain the firm’s record retention policy to ensure legal liability was enforced. I also oversaw storage facility accounts, ensuring the accuracy of all invoices for provided services and requested payment. My duties also included performing a detailed investigation of a current client database to locate any potential legal conflicts before the intake of new business.

Case & Productivity Manager

IKON Record Retrieval
05.2003 - 03.2005
  • As the main point of contact for all Dallas Law Firms, I oversaw and updated our clients regarding subpoenaed records and deposition of written questions. I also contacted facilities to inquire about records subpoenaed by my firm, as well as arrange their retrieval. Once received, I would review for accuracy and completion. I also oversaw other employee calls to facilities to obtain records to ensure the timeliness as well as effectiveness of their calls, managing up to 5 other employees at a time.
