My work duties at Baptist Hospital Inpatient Pharmacy include then following:

Answering phone calls from nursing and physicians.

Filling patient medications from drug carousels.

Stocking and returning medications to carousels.

Inventoring carousels daily.

Inventoring/stocking meds and narcotics in pyxis for the Eye Center OR Rooms.

Tubing medications to nursing units.

Delivering medications to nursing units/OR rooms/ER/Cath Labs/Specialty procedure rooms/ICU units.

Stocking Pyxis on all above units.

Compounding oral medications.

Using Epic to answer/ dispense patient med messages and Ivs.

Using Epic to Dispense Prep/Track/Check patient orders and Dispenses including Narcotics,

Pulling all narcotics from Pyxis vault for delivery to nursing unit pyxis or for patient specific use.

Other duties as needed ect.

• Answered incoming phone calls and addressed questions from Doctors and Nursing staff.
• Compounded and dispensed oral and topical medications.
• Inventoried and ordered pharmacy supplies.
• Filled and dispensed medications by Pyxis and Automatic Tube System.
• Stocked and expired meds from Pharmacy and Pyxis.
• Made IV's for adult and neonatal patients.
• Have working knowledge of Pharmacy computer programs and Pharmacy office equipment.
• Kept logs of supplies dispensed to clinics and other institutions.
• Packaged pills using automated packager for unit dose dispensing for patient use.
• Packaged oral liquid unit dose cups using automated packager for unit dose dispensing for patient use.
• Inventoried/ ordered/ labeled/ dispensed injections/ IV's/ oral cups for use by the OR for pharmacy trays.
• Drew up oral liquid syringes for adult and neonatal units.
• Drew up oral narcotic oral syringes for adult and neonatal units.
