Highly motivated academic and clinically-trained PharmD with 18+ years of MSL and Medical Affairs Pharmaceutical Industry experience in both Big Pharma and Biotech environments. Demonstrated history of success in launching products in established and rare disease markets. Industry therapeutic areas of focus include hepatology (PBS, PSC, HCV, HBV, NASH, ALGS, PFIC, and Biliary Atresia), immunology (Organ Transplantation and HIV), and rare metabolic bone disease (XLH and OI). • Develop Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) in rare cholestatic liver disease by providing expert knowledge and scientific exchange on a variety of liver related topics
• Serve as liaison between specific health care providers (medical doctors, nurses, physician assistants, nurse practitioners, pharmacists and other healthcare staff) and Medical Affairs and Clinical Development departments within Mirum to share data and feedback as requested
• Coordinate and manage research activities (IIS) between Mirum and health care providers in the Southeast and MidAtlantic territory of the US; participating as requested by Clinical Operations in outreach to Investigators involved in phase 2-3 clinical trials
• Serve as mentor to MSLs providing feedback and best practices as requested when troubleshooting issues that arise in the field, in Medical Affairs and Clinical Development as well as across the sales force
• Organize and host training sessions on cholestatic liver disease, and relevant disease state specific and product specific material for both the Medical team and Commercial teams; created content when needed for illustration in the basic information and background of disease state processes
• Worked with Physician (KOL) partner to host a Medical Roundtable event sponsored by Medical Affairs to generate knowledge and expertise with Livmarli in the ALGS patient population
• Generate relevant insights and summaries of presentations including competitive intelligence after conference coverage for the Medical Affairs, Clinical Development and Commercial teams; present synopsis of data during Mirum debriefs
• Host Journal club at Mirum with Medical and Commercial audience to relate relevant newsworthy and important research updates
