Front Office & Administrative Duties

• Greeted patients, performing front-office check-in and registration to ensure smooth patient flow.
• Verify patient demographics, insurance information, and appointments.
• Schedule cardiology appointments, follow-up visits, and consultations.
• Scheduled and coordinated cardiac diagnostic testing, including stress tests and echocardiograms, to facilitate timely patient care.
• Manage patient inquiries and coordinate communication between patients, providers, and clinical staff.
• Reviewed, routed, and responded to patient messages in the electronic medical record (EMR) inbox.
• Gather patient information and coordinate cardiac clearance requests for upcoming surgeries and medical procedures.
• Obtain and organize medical records, diagnostic test results, and supporting documentation for cardiac clearance.
• Communicated with outside medical offices, surgical facilities, and providers to manage and expedite clearance requests.
• Track pending cardiac clearance requests and follow up on outstanding information and documentation.

Clinical Responsibilities

• Perform EKGs/ECGs and obtain patient vital signs, including blood pressure, pulse, and oxygen saturation.
• Prepare patients for cardiology consultations and diagnostic testing.
• Assist providers with clinical procedures within training and scope of practice.
• Maintain accurate patient documentation and electronic medical records.
• Provide patients with instructions regarding diagnostic testing preparation and follow-up appointments.
• Assist with coordinating patient care and communicating clinical concerns to the appropriate healthcare provider.
• Maintain patient confidentiality and follow HIPAA guidelines.
