As the Sworn Detention Officer, responsibilities included control of the female holding facility for the city of Chicago's 002 police district/Area One Detective Division.
Responsibilities included the booking, fingerprinting and photo processing for all female arrestees that were held at the facility during my eight-hour tour of duty.
Responsibilities also included the preparation of arrestees for transportation to court and the bond release of the detainees.
Field Services: Worked at Police Headquarters in the Field Services Division.
Responsibilities included the verification of vital information for police officers in the field.
This consisted of varying criminal warrants, gun registration and motor vehicle registration within Illinois LEADS system and NCIC computer systems.
Field Services also included answering phone inquiries from civilians and the city-wide police districts, detective divisions, special units, and all law enforcement agencies both national and international.
This position also included extensive filing and data entry.
Developed and executed plans to monitor standard process adherence.
Worked with my Sergeant and Watch Commander to resolve any serious issues or problems, improved operations and provided exceptional police services.
