• As an Engine Company Captain I lead a team of firefighters in extinguishing fires, providing EMS, mitigating Haz Mat incidents, arriving first on scene and establishing Incident Command running the complete operation unless relieved by a Chief Officer.
• I provided firefighter EMS training sessions for all of our department.
• I was a sworn peace officer for 12 years as the Shift Arson Investigator and testified as an expert witness in court.
• I mentored and supervised probationary firefighters, evaluated and counseled subordinates, performed commercial fire code inspections, provided public safety and community outreach programs.

Ran farm crews, worked long hours, responsible for all operations from growing and harvest to packaging and marketing.

Also ran a Firewood business with a partner and had a Sign business with my ex wife during the same time period.
