Working at The Social House allowed me to excel in my skills being Canal Park is a busy, unpredictable environment. Even with its challenges being a brand new restaurant I found creative ways to bring a fun, exciting experience for my customers.
The Bemidji Green Mill holds high expectations of their staff. Starting off as a host I quickly moved my way up becoming one of the main servers at this location.
When I worked fo the Conservation Corps of MN and IA, our crew including myself consisted of 4 individuals. We got signed onto different types of DNR contracts each week and had roughly 4 days to complete the itinerary given. At times it was planting several thousands of tree saplings, restoring wildfire or water erosion damage, spraying invasive plant species, or even something as simple as delivering supplies to facilities. These 10-12 hour days of hard labor we got to camp out each night near the worksites. I gained extensive hands on experience in the matter of a few months with this job that I will be able to apply towards numerous other occupations and everyday scenarios.
