  • Referrals of patients screened within the hospital, at home and other hospitals evaluated. Utilization review completed from verification of benefits to updates for commercial insurance and medicaid patients. Quality Assurance and Chart auditing completed .Community based hospital purchased competitive hospital Joint Commission Accreditation Consultants and the State of Missouri Hospital Licensing has to do a full survey within 14days of purchase. The rehabilitation unit was CARF accredited, Certification of Acute Rehabilitation Facility due that year and came within a short period of time.

  • Assisted in the development of the Lucy Lee Hospital Non-Medicare Certified Hospice with a full functioning volunteer department.
  • Very Active with the local American Cancer Society, Relay for Life volunteer at conception
  • Volunteer of the Community Cancer Information Office-CCIO, presently known as UCAN.
  • Assisted in the development of job description for inpatient and outpatient social worker for the Cancer Treatment Center.
  • Volunteered as Camp Staff for 12 years with the We Can Weekend Cancer Camp for adult and children patients with cancer for educational, resources, emotional and spiritual support and providing educational and emotional groups for adults and children. Sponsored by South East Health Hospital and the American Center Society.
  • 5 day training course on 1994 from the Alzheimer's Association to be educated on Alzheimer's to be able to do educational programs and start the Alzheimer's support groups. Extremely involved in the opening of the Cape office of the Alzheimer's Association office and the start of the Memory Walks at Cape Girardeau for many years.

    Aging Matters Star Award

Aging Matters Star Award

Aging Matters is the local Area Agency on Aging that serves 18 in counties southeastern Missouri. This is not for profit organization assisting with funding of nutrition centers, meals on wheels and the frozen meal program. They assist with Non Mo Health net individualls some hours of homemaking or personal care, respite care, in continent supplies, caregiver support group, caregiver education programs, assistance with taxes and many more services. They are a great resource for Medicare and Missouri MO Health Network. To honored my this fine group of peop'e who work with so many people throughout the State of Missouri on December 12⁴, 2016
