Responsible for the relationships between thirteen hospital institutions and preceptors that take on NYITCOM third- and fourth-year medical students.
Maintain relationships and continuous contact with clinical faculty and onsite coordinators while supporting and promoting for a continuous cycle of recruitment of future clinical sites.
Work closely with Clinical Education Director & Assistant Director on various projects involving students’ compliance, schedules and to support continuous improvement of workflow within Clinical Education and for both students and sites during rotations.
Recruit & onboard alumni and M.D.’s in the tri state area to become clinical preceptors.
Continuously meet with students for rotation feedback, COCCA standards and to discuss upcoming requirements.
Be the support system and the first point of contact for students and clinical sites during rotations. This can vary from personal, professional or school related questions/concerns.
Troubleshoot and examine ways to prevent issues with sites overall organization of rotations, negative clinician experiences and student professionalism occurrences.
Work on various events and projects that occur each year (orientations, COMAT exams, hospital day, mask fitting EXT).
Order, present and keep track of our Regional Managers promotional budgets and mileage submissions.
Work closely with Deans, Clinical Education team and with various departments across the NYIT campus.
Other responsibilities include Continuing Medical Education credits, created and maintained the Preceptor and CME Manuals, Canvas- Affiliated Sites Page (onboarding) and COCCA reporting.
Assist with Student Handbook, manual and other requirements for both students and Clinical Education team members.
Utilize various platforms to assist in all tasks. E-Value, Red Cap and Guru.
