Amnesty Floor Monitor Associate (AFM)

Amazon
05.2023 - Current

Selected to participate on a specialized team focused on SNY5's Amazon Robotics (AR) operations. A critical component of this role involves obtaining FAST (Floor Access Safety Training) certification, enabling safe operation on the robotics floor. Responsibilities include the retrieval of amnesty (fallen packages or objects), resetting of faulted drives, and their removal from the floor, following FAST procedures while wearing issued SRBRs vests.

  • Maintained AR (Amazon Robotics) floor operations and ensured the functionality of robotic systems to support seamless productivity.
  • Monitored and safely accessed the AR floor to troubleshoot and resolve robotics issues, ensuring minimal downtime.
  • Assisted associates with station concerns, such as product, tote, or conveyance issues, ensuring smooth workflow.
  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of all fulfillment areas, allowing for effective support of the AR floor while monitoring SNY5’s critical pull times to ensure timely order fulfillment.
  • Oversaw multiple computer systems to track and maintain optimal floor health, facilitating continuous production processing (MMA, Rodeo, Vantage).
  • Collaborated with team members to ensure operational efficiency, particularly during peak business hours.
  • Led and coordinated other AFMs on the AR floor, managing pod gaps and prioritizing floor health to optimize efficiency during high-demand periods.

Problem Solver

Selected and trained in Outbound Problem Solve at SNY5’s Sub Same-Day Delivery Facility. Responsibilities include collecting, receiving, and resolving issues with packages that are damaged, unscannable, or missorted. This is managed through applications such as Rodeo, FC Research, and POPS (Proactive Outbound Problem Solve).

  • Played a key role in problem solving within SNY5's outbound department, ensuring efficient resolution of shipping issues.
  • Improved customer satisfaction by promptly addressing and resolving outbound shipment problems, minimizing delays.
  • Assisted management and process assistants in reviewing performance metrics to evaluate outbound activities and identify areas for improvement.
  • Increased employee morale by fostering a supportive work environment, encouraging collaboration with a positive and proactive approach.
  • Problem solvers also manage collections, making rounds to problem solve collection points to retrieve unscannable items, partial orders, and other problematic packages.

Repackaged items are relabeled and returned to the delivery system by re-inducting them onto the belt.

Packages damaged by liquids are processed using DPT applications and placed in designated safety-damaged areas. Loose or unidentifiable items are processed as overages and returned for stowage.

Orders are continuously monitored for dwell time, ensuring no package risks missing its critical pull time. Orders may be redirected to Problem Solve to prevent delays.
