I have well over a decade experience working in the optical field in a high-volume store. I started my journey back in 2009 when I was first hired as a Technician at National Vision. Within my first year, due to my ability to thrive in a fast paced environment, I was cross-trained as a Receptionist. By 2011 my interest in the field grew and I was eager to learn more so I enrolled in the Ophthalmic Science Program and was promoted to Assistant Manager. I completed the program and obtained my state license in 2014. Unfortunately, during the pandemic in 2020, my availability rapidly changed rather unexpectedly, forcing me to step down from management into a part time position. Upon returning to work from maternity leave I was unable to obtain childcare for my newborn son since all daycare's were not accepting new children due to the pandemic. Everything shut down just two short weeks later. December 2021 I had my third son and decided to leave the work feild for a brief time to raise my young children. October 2023 National Vision eagerly accepted me back. Now I am exploring all opportunities as I am intrigued to see what new journey lies ahead.
