Current stay-at-home mom who recently sent my youngest to school. I am eagerly seeking opportunities to re-enter the workforce. I am a hard working, well organized individual with years of experience working with children, including children with special needs.
I have spent the last 5 years taking care of 3 children, who are now all in school. I manage the home and all tasks that go along with it, including cleaning and organizing, meal prep and cleanup, managing of accounts and finances, making appointments, tutoring, event planning, and much more. I am a compassionate caretaker who can easily adapt to change and multitask to ensure that all business is completed.
I worked in home with clients to help them with various life skills and social integration. My duties would include helping clients with organization and basic upkeep of their home, brainstorming activities for broadening their social skills and interactions, as well as being a compassionate companion encouraging them to reach their goals.

As a year-round AmeriCorps member, I served as an outdoor educator during the school year, and in the summer months I was the head of the Adventure Team for the sleepaway camp for children with special needs. As and outdoor educator, I facilitated various retreats for school field trips, as well as staff team-building retreats, with the goal of providing leadership skills and team bonding through various challenges, while also providing environmental education in the Hudson River Valley. As the leader of the Adventure Team, I would handle all scheduling, as well as facilitate various outdoor activities such as hiking, fishing, and overnight camping trips. I also served as a leader of the Ramapo Leadership Program, in which I helped lead monthly weekend retreats for teen girls with special needs.
As the lab intern, I worked alongside the veterinary team to run routine blood work and procedures on the center's resident animals, as well as those in the rehabilitation department. My duties included basic upkeep of the lab and all equipment, gathering and running blood samples, recording data, creating and analyzing slides, assisting with necropsies, running water quality tests, and caring for dermestid beetles used by the education department. I also volunteered in various husbandry departments, as well as the rehabilitation stranding department.
As a vet assistant, I worked alongside the doctor to ensure the best care for our animal patients. My duties included assisting with office exams by obtaining vitals, gathering any necessary samples, running tests in the lab, holding animals for exams, processing x-rays, pre-op prep, assisting in surgery, post-op cleanup, disinfecting the facility, and occasionally managing the front desk.
As an intern, I worked at the Delta Rivers Nature Center, where I served as an educator. My duties included presenting animal programs to various school groups, both at the facility and away, caring for the animal collection, giving tours of the facility and the nature trail, assisting with various tasks around the grounds, assisting with events, and occasionally traveling other game and fish facilities to learn about their programming. I also received time to work on program development for my thesis on environmental education for elementary students.
