Responsible for cargo loading and unloading supervision for all assigned Japan Airlines (JAL) flights during duty shifts:
1. ULD Preparation: Prepare appropriate ULDs (Unit Load Devices) based on daily inbound and outbound cargo volume and weight, verifying that all ULDs are fully functional and in serviceable condition.
2. Build-Up Inspection: Inspect all export cargo build-ups to ensure compliance with standards, including overall dimensions, dangerous goods (DG) segregation/placement, cargo securing and tying-down, tag details, and ULD number/validity checks.
3. Dolly Staging & Sequencing: Oversee the loading of built-up cargo onto dollies and sequence them based on specific weights to ensure smooth and efficient aircraft loading operations.
4. Shipside Briefing & Pre-Check: Arrive at shipside ahead of schedule to conduct operational briefings with ground handling personnel, inspect dolly conditions, and arrange the offloading sequence in advance.
5. Offloading Supervision: Supervise the offloading process to verify cargo matches the L.I. (Loading Instruction) details, focusing on full-process safety to prevent cargo damage and personnel injuries.
6. Loading Operations & Coordination: Re-verify cargo data against the L.I. during loading, ensuring correct position placement and proper restraint lock engagement. Maintain real-time communication with involved departments regarding overall progress, document signatures, and live animals (AVI) or special cargo handling.
7. Post-Load Final Inspection: Conduct a comprehensive final inspection upon completion of loading and confirm that all relevant flight and cargo documentation is accurately completed.
