Job overview

  • Collects and test wastewater daily that enters the plant through residential, commercial, and industrial areas so that the facilities can remain in compliance with DEQ and EPA
  • Calibrate laboratory machinery for everyday use before testing the wastewater
  • Perform test needed for analysis and report the data, date, and time
  • Practice safety laboratory uses while working in the lab, to prevent cross contamination
  • Maintain a daily work log
  • Attend classes and maintain CEU through Mississippi Rural water to obtain Operator Licenses
  • Teach Safety Classes once every week
  • Review payroll to ensure employee is paid correctly
  • Requisition and Receive items ordered through companies that are needed for the job
