Coordinates the functions and workflow of the network cancer registry which spans 8 hospitals and related outpatient facilities to ensure timely and accurate data collection and submissions. Manage the staff responsible for the day to day operations of the network cancer registry. Update and maintain the policy and procedures that govern the network cancer registry. Assist and support the work to maintain Integrated Network Cancer Program accreditation with the Commission on Cancer. As a member of the leadership team in the network’s oncology service line, provide input on strategic plans, annual budgets, and other initiatives in line with the mission and vision of Kettering Health.
Responsible for overseeing cancer registry operations and coordinating cancer registry job duties for a system client, including eight hospitals of various sizes and varying accreditation statuses (CoC & NAPBC). Managed staff assigned to multiple cancer registry contracts with various clients in Ohio and other states, including adult and pediatric facilities in a remote work environment. Participated in the development and worked on department specific goals as related to the strategic direction of our division.
