
I thrive in a laboratory environment and greatly enjoy supporting scientific exploration. I am able to safely navigate lab spaces and assist in day-to-day tasks such as cleaning benches, equipment, and other learning tools. I am comfortable handling chemicals and storing them safely.
My year-long project with ankle bone evolution is coming to an end, with only a publishable paper to write and submit.
During my time with this lab, we acquired a new lab space vacated by a retiring professor. I assisted my PI in cleaning up the space, organizing specimens and equipment, and bringing the space up to regulation.
I worked in the Veterinary College's teaching dissection laboratory. I assisted with specimen preparation, such as cleaning tissue of of the skeleton manually or with the assistance of beatles. I worked with preserving chemicals and organized storage spaces.
After the term had ended, I worked on a learning tool for Cache Valley Virus by cleaning and building a goat skeleton.
