I've always loved animals and the outdoors and when growing up our vacations were mostly centered around historic places and the appreciation of nature. This love and appreciation has only grown in my adult life. The interest in DNA/genealogy is relatively new, but it fits right into the history interests. Homesteading is also a work in progress, but becoming more self sufficient is something that I believe is good knowledge to have.
