Research Intern
3 Months- Conducted routine contamination testing of cell cultures
- Assisted senior lab researcher in isolation and RiboSeq analysis of brain tumor proteins
- Coordinated lab supplies and maintained inventory accuracy.
- Kept abreast of current industry, scientific and regulatory developments and issues.
- Prepared reagents and solutions following standard laboratory formulas and procedures.
- Interpreted laboratory results to provide technical advice to scientists.
Summer Research Academy + Microbiology Class
2 Months- Learned and performed lab techniques such as ELISA, Western Blot, bacterial transformation, etc
- Learned how to read and interpret scientific articles and experimental data/ figures
- Studied and was tested on Microbiology and understanding of laboratory procedures
