Worked on implementing a training program for potential female firefighters in the the city of San Francisco.

The program included physical training in strength and agility as well as health and wellness support for transitioning to a career that was non traditional for women at the time.

Many of the recruits went on to become decorated Fire Fighters and high ranking officials of local Fire Departments.

• Organized and managed program development from conception through successful execution
• Orchestrated smooth and efficient program development by collaborating cross-functionally across departments
• Gathered and organized printed materials required for program participation

Volunteered as Head Chair for various fundraising projects such as raising funds to meet educational needs of for elementary, middle ,and high schools in my community.

And volunteered as Head Chair of Fundraising for athletic organizations such as ;

securing equipment for rowing teams, swim teams , and Track and field teams.

Additionally , worked in securing monetary ,merchandise, and gift donations along with fundraising events such as silent auctions, crab feeds , spaghetti dinners, candy /donut sales, swim-a-thons for swimming, erg-a -thons for rowing. and running events As Chair , my focus was also to instill the importance of comradery and volunteer work.

• Used critical thinking to break down problems, evaluate solutions and make decisions
• Identified issues, analyzed information and provided solutions to problems

Position consisted of range in duties ; from food preparation , diaper changing and hygiene of toddlers, to educational tutoring for elementary school age children.

• Maintained effective schedule balance between rest periods, active play and instruction
• Sanitized dishes, tabletops, toys and frequently touched surfaces to prevent spreading of germs
• Planned and guided age-appropriate tasks like reading, crafts and math
• Applied positive behavior management techniques to enhance social interactions and emotional development
• Created and implemented diverse educational strategies to boost development

Conducted ethnographic research in the country of Malta for Field school .

Methods of research included participant observation , as well as quantitative and qualitative data.

This research is ongoing , pending return visit to Malta to gather more in formation and expand upon research topic.
