I graduated with a BS in nursing and my first position was a field nurse with the Brockton VNA. Having moved i became a Clinical Instructor and Educator in all specialties, except for Pediatrics and Mental Health, at Union Hospital School of Nursing. I became certified as. Disaster Nurse. This led me to creating a city wide Disaster Drill for Fall River, MA. Working with city officials was quite an experience. When diploma schools closed, with the help of the NIH I created one of the first Infection Control programs in the country. Again we moved and I took a position as a field nurse in the Brockton VNA. A hiatus for children was next after which I became an Assistant Director in a Sub-acute/Nursing Home setting until I moved to Florida. This is when I began to move up the ladder in home health as Director of Nursing, Quality Assurance and Performance Director, Clinical Coordinator, and Compliance Director to finally Survey Readiness.

As a child I was on the water with my parents and their boat. Having lived on the water all my life it is only natural that I would become an avid boater. One highlight of my boating experience was, along with another couple, navigate a boat from Cape Cod, MA to Ft Lauderdale, FL through the Intracoastal.
My flying experience began when I met my husband to be who had a pilots license and flew recreationally, This created my desire to become a pilot myself. Having an engine out while flying was another unforgettable experience, trying to land safely.
Again, trap shooting was another hobby that we as a family all enjoyed. My ex husband being Handicap Champion, my son was Sub-junior Champion and I was Lady Champion, all in the same season.
My different hobbies have certainly put me in some situations that has caused me to think quickly and make proper decisions using my education, skills, quick thought process and sheer guts.
