My job is to make sure the building is safe and secure during the night. I do hourly rounds inside and outside the facility. I observe and report if anything happens and make sure the daily shift report is completed on my end. I also make sure if anything is happening on property LCPD is informed.

At first I was a security officer, doing hourly rounds inside and outside the facility. I would do incident reports and make sure a close connection with LCPD was established. I would also greet the community with open arms, and make sure the safety of the facility, staff and visitors was established.

When I became a supervisor requirements of the job didn’t change. I mostly had to do my daily log, position my guards on an hourly schedule and made sure that us as security were known through out the facility, I would work with sensitive information but while also maintaining hippa guidelines.
