Since the age of 15 years old I have been working in customer service. I began my journey at a small Hispanic convenience store with wire transfers, money handling and customers service. Throughout the years there, I gained the roll of being the shift leader’s second hand with the responsibility of opening and closing the business. After graduating from high school I knew I wanted to grow more within this field. I’ve always been passionate to help the public especially in my Hispanic community. In 2018 I started at Cricket Wireless, as a basic retail store associate, my job description was to communicate with the public and help them with any cellular problems. I handled mainly closing shifts where I had the responsibility of doing closing inventory of all the products. In a short few months I proved myself to the district manager that I can be responsible and liable within my position and was later promoted to Assistant Manager. During my time as anAassistant Manager, I kept the same responsibilities while also training other associates and meeting monthly goals for the store location. In November of 2019, I parted my ways due to pursuing a family with my significant other. I attempted to pursue an education but later decided I still had the love for customer service. I was blessed to be employed with the Desoto Co. Sheriffs Office in 2020, and started my journey as a 911 telecommunicator. I participated in several state trainings from CPR, Emergency Medical Dispatch, Drive and Vehicle Information Database, Critical Incident Training, CCIS, and several other trainings that would bring me knowledge and responsibility to my position. Within the first year of employment, I was responsible for being in charge of my own shift for the offices personal reasons. I trained several operators. In 2023, I was promoted to Shift Supervisor, and had the responsibility of maintaining a shift and learning not only for myself but how to become more patient and comfortable communicating with other to reach goals and protocols within dispatch. I have also learned several different areas of the department, for example warrants and bonding and also have been an asset in several different departments with translation including the Arcadia Police Department and Desoto Co. Fire and Rescue. I have participated in several events with the community and gained so many relationships with officers and subordinates. I’ve always been on time to my shifts and flexible to work when other have became sick or just simply picking up overtime shifts. Because of my passion of helping others, I truly believe that I can also grow within other jobs and departments not only to help others but to also grow as a person and learn more. I hope to be considered to be part of the team.
