Perform assigned duties in BSL1 and BSL2 conditions.

Monitors the health and welfare of non-human primates, rodents, rabbits, ferrets, and small ruminants species.

Assists the veterinary staff and principal investigators with animal environmental and dietary enrichment process.

Performs animal handling and manipulation techniques.

Facilitates social housing; provides general technical support including animal observations, animal treatments, phlebotomy, and physical examinations.

Performs general surgical support including animal preparation, intubation, intravenous catheter placement, and anesthesia monitoring.

Performs radiographic techniques: inspects area of responsibility to ensure the facility is in compliance with Federal, DOD, CDC, FDA, and other applicable regulations and accreditation standards.
