I started my career teaching high school students with emotional/behavior disorder for 3 years in Davenport Iowa, a culturally and racially diverse public school. I gradually moved from the resource setting to self-contained. I moved back to Minnesota and taught middle school students with emotional/behavior disorders for 6 years. Then in 2004 I started using my regular elementary teaching license teaching 2nd grade in the osseo school district. I remained in that position for 18 years, while raising my young daughters. In 2022 I accepted a position in the Osseo School District as an instructional coach, where I will remain until 2025. I look forward to using my special license for summer employment opportunities supporting students with special education services.
