If there were three words to sum up my professional life I would choose Laugh, Love, and LIVE. I have the the ability to make people laugh. I use this tool a lot in IOA meetings. Laughter shreds grief. Is laughter always appropriate? No. But Love is appropriate when you are showing that you care. I care enough to listen to what they are saying. I care enough to hand them a tissue to dry their tears. I care enough to walk beside them to the grave site, if needed. But most of all, I want to share the ability to LIVE. I can most effectively do this by sharing through cemetery events the ability to live not only in the moment, but to also LIVE forever in the minds of those left behind.
