My job consists of access control into and protection of the Protected Area. This includes, but is not limited to vehicle searches, personnel searches, material searches and miscellaneous patrols of plant and surrounding areas to identify suspicious activity.
Our most important task is the protection of the plant and the health & safety of the public from nuclear sabotage.
I held a position on the Human Performance team. Sat in on Safety meetings as the Human Performance team representative.
At the minimum, we must qualify with our firearms quarterly. We currently qualify on AR 15s, but in the past we used .40 cal S&W.
We use Microsoft Edge software for all assignments.

I was required to paint, hang, and pack products from different small parts companies.
I had be able to lift 50-70 lbs. and stand for long periods.
The line works in 3 parts the hanging/taking down/packing, the plugging/capping area, and the paint area.

I worked as a mechanic on H53/CH 53 helicopter at naval aviation depot MCAS Cherry Point, NC.
I performed the removal and replacement of defective opponents such as rotor heads, engines, nose gear box, intermediate gear box, main gear box, tail gear box, accessory gear box, drive shafts, thomas couplings, flight controls, hydraulic pumps etc.
Prepared aircraft for test flights and corrected all discrepancies bringing the aircraft to a flight ready status.
In my job I used applicable maintenance manuals blueprints, IPB's, local engineering instruction, technical engineering instruction and bulletins, manual change requirements and local engineering instructions.

Keeping up with scheduled maintenance and troubleshooting unscheduled maintenance was a part of my duties.
I kept up with several different safety inspections and monthly reports.
In the field I took calls and returned calls dealing with the safety issues of digging on or near pipelines.
I scheduled and attended meetings with contractors and other community members with any questions about whether they may build, dig or place heavy equipment on or around the pipeline.
These were done weekly.
I would give appropriate permission in accordance with DOT and SONAT's operational procedures.
Paperwork and monthly safety reports had to be updated and filed daily.

I began as plane captain in the line shack, performing task such as directing aircraft for start up, sending to runway and recovery.
Also doing 'hot brake' checks, fueling, de-fueling, plane washes, inspection of entire aircraft (daily and turnaround) and pilot walk around at the squadron and on the USS Eisenhower.
As the training Petty Officer in the line shack and the mech. Shop, my duties included keeping training up to date and logged in the training jackets.
As an aircraft mechanic I performed scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on the E-2C Hawkeye (t56-427) and the C-2 Greyhound (T56-425) at VAW-121 and on the USS Kennedy.
Some of these duties, but not limited to, are as follows: removed and replaced engines, pump housings, valve housing, hydraulic propellers, fuel controls, starters, starter control valves, centrifugal switch, poppet valves, collector assembly, oil tank, scavenge oil pumps, reduction gearbox, flight and combined hydraulic pumps, number four bearing line, fuel nozzles, numerous fuel and oil lines and fuel to air heat exchanger.
I worked on all bleed air systems to include valves, lines and components.
Troubleshooting which consisted of minor and major discrepancies of the aircraft ranging from hung starts to fodded (foreign object damage) engines, leak checks, etc.
I was also qualified as a final checker on the USS John F. Kennedy.
I performed periodic maintenance such as 7, 14, 28, 56-day inspections as well as aircraft propeller and engine phases.
Launched and recovered aircraft where I would inspect the outer exterior of the aircraft such as landing gear, timer check valve for leaks, engine bleed air leaks ensure that the aircraft were safe for flight.
Also recover the aircraft to include the servicing of engine oil as well as purging the mitigated motors.
In addition to this I have also had 5 months of I-level experience on the T56-427 and T56-425 engines at AIMD Norfolk where I preformed first degree repair of T56 turbines, reduction gearboxes and the tear down, build up, repair and testing of the T56-427/425 engines.
Preserved and de-preserved turbines, gearboxes and engines.
I inspected turbine blades to detect warps, cracks and T-1 turbine failures.
I the used measuring tools to determine whether the warps or cracks were within limitations.
Blended blades as required.
Used boroscopes to diagnose the depth of repair and to diagnose the status of the compressor and turbine blades.
