Provides instruction to United States Army Basic Trainees on the the importance of financial discipline with emphasis on The Thrift Savings Plan (TSP), and coordinating with unit to ensure appropriate facility and operational equipment is readily on hand to conduct an 8-hour block of instruction on Financial Ethics, Credit, Consumer Awareness, Car Buying, and TSP. Total number of soldiers vary and the objective is to obtain 100% sign-up for TSP
Carried a case-load of 8 or more clients each semester, provided initial assessments, short-term and long-term individual therapy serving clients dealing with cognitive, emotional, crisis driven issues affecting his or her quality of life to include family, marriage, parenting and lifestyle (employment, social, etc). Provided group therapy (Drug and Alcohol and Anger Management), provided crisis intervention, received 2 hours bi-weekly individual supervision with a licensed social worker, participated in consultation and outreach programming, and performed a minimum of 300 face-to-face clinical hours. Used Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Motivational Interviewing, Play Therapy (Children), and Problem Solving Therapy interventions.
Assisted over 45 Veterans by providing local resources of Food pantries, Churches and charitable organizations to help Veterans with living arrangements (rent and mortgage) food, shelter, clothing, employment resources, medical services, and veteran benefits. Assisted the organization securing funding for FY 2015 from The Call of Duty Endowment for providing outstanding customer service to the veteran communities of Georgia and Alabama. Organized monthly training sessions for older Veterans to learn computer skills to navigate Veterans Affairs website independently (Veterans Administration Benefits website Portal.)
Performs Patient Administrative duties; Applies knowledge of basic medical terminology; Applies knowledge of Provisions and Limitations of Freedom of Information and Privacy Acts; Receives patients; Interview patients and review records and available data to obtain information necessary to prepare admission records including appropriate documentation based on the patient's illness, injury and urgency of required treatment; Receives valuables and money from patients to deposit into patient's trust fund; Notifies unit commanders and next of kin; Compiled data and prepares daily admission and disposition reports including very seriously ill, and progress reports; Prepares and dispatches casualty reports; Make preparations to evacuate or transfer patients to alternate medical facilities; Completes forms and reports regarding disposition of personal effects; Computes charges for pay-patients, Applies knowledge of Medical Terminology; Establish and maintain military health records for hospital, clinic, outpatient service, or dispensary; Reviews medical records for adequacy and completeness based upon nature of case and type of treatment; Prepares statistical tables, charts and graphs on medical data; Prepares reports and data on births, deaths, and reportable conditions for submission to military and civilian health authorities and to appropriate legal and governmental agencies; initiates correspondence pertaining to medical records, medical evaluation board proceedings, and Line of Duty Investigations; Address inquires on results of board actions, eligibility for medical care under Uniform Service Health benefit program; Prepares necessary medical forms to convene the medical board to determine medical fitness for duty; Types military and nonmilitary letters, endorsements, disposition forms, messages, and special medical forms and documents in draft and final form; maintains non-medical files. Provides technical guidance to subordinates; performs administrative duties in medical, surgical, or similar department of hospital, including obtaining records from repository, posting entries into medical records, returning records, and coordinating administrative responsibilitites with other departs within the medical facility.
