Allocates and coordinates Medicaid Waiver services for those with Developmental Disabilities through the Agency for Persons with Disabilities. These include Autism, Down Syndrome, Cerebral Palsy, Spina Bifida, Intellectual Disability, and Prader-Willi Syndrome. The services offered include employment coaching, life coaching, group home care, nursing and therapeutic care, and in-home support services. Allocates budgeting and funding for such services, and ensures consumer satisfaction with all providers and services on a regular basis. Manages a caseload ranging from 45-55 consumers consistently, and supervises a staff of 7-10 employees. Trains newly hired employees and offers guidance, direction, and advice on how to best serve the population. Participates in yearly audits and evaluation from the Agency for Healthcare Administration, and ensures all paperwork and material follow state guidelines.
Assists and directs musical operations including vocal technique, performance, coaching of other vocalists, music preparation, selection, production, and fostering positive relationships with team members. Other duties include technical instruction, pastoral assistance, and mentoring and guiding adolescent and young adult ages with musical direction and instruction.
Advocates and represents the best interest of children in the dependency system in court. Assists children and families with various services through the Department of Children and Families, and ensures that their physical, mental, and emotional health is taken care of. Works with a legal team and makes recommendations for permanency through reunification, adoption, or extended foster care. Pursues opportunities to provide children with normalcy, and supports the best possible outcomes for their futures. Supervises a team of volunteers that are assigned to cases and families, and equips them with proper training and management in order to accurately advocate and represent.
Assisted in education and implementation of Applied Behavior Analysis techniques to create a positive and beneficial environment for special needs children ages 6 to 9 years old. Duties included following and carrying out Individual Education Plans (IEP), working directly with classroom teachers, assisting students in daily routines including restroom situations, food preparation, social relationships with other children, and providing coping strategies to boost self-esteem and success.
