Docket Clerk and Backup Courtroom Deputy

United States District Court
09.2018 - 12.2024

I I was a docket clerk for civil and criminal cases and I filled in for courtroom deputies in ffederal court who were on vacation or out of the office. I handled attorney admissions by reviewing the applications for all the information that federal court required and notifying the attorneys of the documents missing and that that they paid the fee on the day of admission. Except during Covid they paid in advance.

In 2019 I was a full time courtroom deputy for the same Judge I worked for many years in the past as he retired in 2019. Also the last 15 months of my federal court career I was a full time courtroom deputy for another Judge in federal court whose courtroom deputy retired at the end of September 2023 until I retired on December 31,2024. I worked in the Federal Court Clerk’s Office In between my full time courtroom deputy I worked in the Federal Court Clerk’s Office for the time from September of 2018 until 2019 when I worked for a Magistrate Judge who I worked with for many years prior to going to the to the Clerk’s Office and then I worked for another Magistrate Judge in October 2023. I worked for the Clerk’s Office from September of 2018 to 2019 when I went to chambers to work as a full time Courtroom Deputy and then after my judge retired I went back to the Clerk’s Office until a Magistrate Judge asked me to replace her courtroom deputy for my last 15 months and she retired a few days after I did on December 31, 2024.
