Key Responsibilities & Impact

• Lead daily ultrasound operations, including staffing coordination, workflow management, case prioritization, and resource allocation to support inpatient, ED, outpatient, and OR imaging services.
• Manage staff scheduling, productivity, call coverage, and PRN staffing, ensuring appropriate coverage and equitable staffing across shifts.
• Implement workflow optimization and process improvement initiatives, improving patient throughput, departmental efficiency, and operational consistency.
• Support quality assurance, patient safety, and regulatory compliance initiatives, including Joint Commission readiness, infection control standards, and clinical competency programs.
• Develop departmental policies, workflows, and training resources to standardize imaging practices and enhance clinical performance.
• Collaborate with physicians, nursing leadership, radiologists, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize imaging workflows and improve patient care outcomes.
• Mentor and support technologists and new staff through training, onboarding, coaching, and professional development initiatives.
• Manage department supply chain, equipment readiness, and operational resources to ensure continuous service delivery.
• Analyze operational data including throughput metrics and workflow trends to support data-driven decision making and performance improvement. Expanded outpatient imaging to evenings and weekends.
• Promote a culture of engagement, accountability, and patient-centered care, strengthening team communication and departmental morale through structured staff updates and leadership visibility and departmental employee engagement activities by developing an annual outline of events.

• Extensive knowledge in OB/GYN, abdomen, small parts, breast and limited areas of vascular ultrasound
• Overseeing the ultrasound team and ensuring the highest standards of patient care and diagnostic accuracy.
• RQI superuser, I have facilitated training and ensured that our team adheres to the best practices in resuscitation quality improvement. Oxygen tank superuser, responsible for managing and maintaining the oxygen supply, ensuring safety, and training staff on proper usage.
• I sit on both the Ultrasound Council here our goal is to develop and implement best practices across all of the Inova sites of care. As well as the Workplace Violence/EOC Committee, where I am an active participant. I have volunteered for various subgroups within these councils, demonstrating my commitment to improving our workplace environment and patient care protocols.
• Handle conflict resolution among employees, demonstrating my ability to manage interpersonal issues effectively and maintain a harmonious work environment.
• Assist in invasive and intraoperative procedures such as fine needle aspirations, breast biopsies, dilation and curettage, renal stent placement, and minimal MSK procedures
• Instruct Ultrasound students from affiliated sonography programs
• Maintain supply and equipment needs for the department

• Handled the scheduling of all Ultrasound patient invasive procedures. Responsible for retrieving orders, contact patients and doctor’s offices, and communicating with mammography department to facility biopsies

• Experienced and proficient with renewals and marketing, daily property reports, collection of delinquent accounts, ordering of office and maintenance supplies

• Orchestrate monthly resident functions, contact all maintenance requests to ensure satisfaction, review weekly prospects and contact upon availability
• Lease apartments according to availability and make ready reports
