- Orients new patients to the unit and provides the patient with a review of available resources and their ability to access these resources
- Provide crisis intervention services in emergency situations.
- Responds to crisis situations when severe mental health and behavioral issues arise.
- help Identify potential warning signs of suicide risk among patients who are at high risk for self-harm.
- Provides/assists patients as needed with activities of daily living (ADL) and rehabilitates aspects of care to help ensure the health, comfort and safety needs of patients are being met.
- Works with patients on an individual or small group basis through therapeutic interventions; provides a safe milieu for all patients by monitoring patient activity to promote optimal stabilization and rehabilitation.
