· Perform specialty crops and vegetable profitability analysis with deep regard to environmental concerns

· Formulate policies and rules for handling environmental water issues, including reviewing and monitoring the implementation of these policies, regulations, and programs.

· Interview UF/IFAS staff regarding current collaborations with research institutions, data use, and future research road map.

• Supported partenership meetings with the Government, donors, State University of Haiti/Campus Henry Christophe in Limonade (CHCL), and Auburn University to define a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) and design Lab projects.

• Provided general oversight and supervision related to the USAID regulations and laboratory staff, ensuring continued compliance with Haitian National Laboratory Accreditation Program (HNLAP) standards.

• Participated in the process of developing specifications for equipment and material procurement, equipment maintenance and repair, etc., and prepared and written laboratory provisions and specifications.

• Participated in long-range study and research activity to ensure adequate water supply is maintained; provide recommendations to water quality meets and local requirements and guidelines.

Developed and implemented capital improvement projects at CHCL laboratory, providing oversight and management of project scope, schedule, and budget.

• Managed, rolled out, and developed, in collaboration with the Directors of the Department of Agriculture, Department of Environment, and Department of Infrastructure, the Rural Area Picture (RAP) assessment methodology to analyze agricultural sub-sectors and identify real investments for the farm sector in six (6) watersheds.

• Supervised, directed, and evaluated assigned staff, processing employee concerns and problems, directing work, counseling, disciplining, and completing employee performance appraisals.

• Developed and administered budget for soil laboratory operations; prepared models of annual budget for approval; monitored expenditures against approved budget;

• Prepared, reviewed and approved purchase order requests.

• Worked with others for cost rolls to calculate standard costs with multi-level needs for various company codes.
