- Organize and implement community outreach events with our partners including: Pinellas Park Rotary Club, Pinellas Park Police Department, Pinellas Park Fire Department and Barbara Ponce Library and several others.
- Spearhead the last 13 years of successful Great American Teach In-Career Day events in their entirety. Recruiting over 100 speakers from the relationships I have built with our business and community members.
- Establish and maintain over 30 community and business partners, including ongoing recruiting and providing partnership orientation.
- Coordinate the yearly M.K. Rawlings volunteer recognition event to ensure the participants are shown a personalized appreciation for their time.
- Organized and delgated assistance of volunteer activities based on school needs assessment. Including Family engagement events: Reading Under The Stars, Challenge Island Science Night, Publix math nights.
- Serve as a liaison between our principal, teachers, parents, students, volunteers and mentors ensuring ease of communication.
- Oversee the database of donations procured from our community and business partners. Some years topping over $125,000 in monetary, manpower, or in-kind donations.
- Procured a $16,000 donation from Pinellas Park Rotary (new picnic area awning for family involvement events), $5,000 donation from LIV Development (student sensory area) and a $1,000 grant from Walmart (books for mentors and their students).
- Support the volunteer, mentor, and tutor programs respectively by recruiting, matching, training, and tracking each of the program participant’s hours.
- Prepare staff on the purpose and utilization of the volunteer program, including policy and procedures.
- Successfully nominated our standout volunteers for the PCS Outstanding School Volunteer Award, resulting in most nominees being awarded at the event every year during my tenure.
- Actively promote M.K. Rawlings in order to spotlight our student achievements and family engagement activities for publication in the PCSB news.
