  • Lead Analyst/Subject Matter Expert for Cerner Message Center – large scale project for secure messaging. Now performs all maintenance of over 800 message pools and all patient portal pool set up and maintenance. Subject matter expert and primary maintenance for eRx set up. Primary trainer to roll out Message Center and Patient Portal to new sites.
  • Support daily operational services – Use custom reports and Cerner solutions to reconcile reports, merge patients, merge encounters, set up electronic Prescription rules.
  • 2nd level production support to IT Help Desk. On call rotation during business and non-business hours. Support a large number of software systems/applications throughout the health system. Work with customers to successfully meet the needs for carrying out business requirements.
  • Project Lead on a large-scale redesign of Cerner’s Perioperative Tracking System. Worked with multi-disciplinary teams/departments (providers, nurses, admin, all OR staff, nursing informatics, admissions) to redesign the system as a complete rebuild. Processes were defined and the system was redesigned to meet the needs and optimize workflow of everyone using Perioperative Tracking. This project took over a year to analyze, design, test and implement. Met all project goals and timelines for this project. Continued to support and “optimize” the system over 2 years post implementation. Manage user requests for system improvements or new workflows. Weekly reporting to senior level management and stake holders regarding the status of the project.
  • Member of the Upgrade team using a testing lifecycle to test, report issues, retest and then implement major system upgrades as they become available from Cerner. Support in command center during Go Live events. Interact with all end users across the organization to resolve issues. Work with users to document issues and request system improvements from the vendor. Command Center Lead role as needed during the duration of all Go Lives.
  • Create Help Desk documentation (KBI’s) and documentation for my production support team to be used when on call. Use Sharepoint and MS Teams as a repository for all documentation.
  • Build, rebuild and alter electronic documentation forms in the Health Information System (HIS) as requested by users.
