Manage security officers, department operations, and support staff, to include interviewing, hiring, creating employee schedules, implementing approved procedures, training and evaluating officers, enforcing policy and administering discipline and coaching as needed; plan, develop and direct staff, work assignments and station coverage. Oversee guest and employee safety by promoting a safe and secure environment and implementing and enforcing state, local jurisdiction, regulatory, and company policies and procedures.

Promotes and provides excellent guest service experiences to both internal and external guests. Instructs, motivates, and provides a strong support system for newly hired security officers regarding their new job duties, Departmental and Enterprise Policies and Procedures, governmental regulations, and technical rules relevant to their new position. Provides ongoing future support, as needed. Provides retraining to other security personnel, as necessary.

Evaluates staff training needs and suggests appropriate training content and methods. Responsible for the safety and security of team members, guests, facilities, and grounds. Ensures that the facilities are safe from fire, theft, burglary, assaults and other such causes that may threaten the safety and security of the business, property, team members, and guests. Provides escorts for keys, money and all other department functions as requested. Performs other special projects and duties as assigned. Establish and maintain effective working relationships as well as to gain the cooperation of guests and fellow team members.

Supervises the day-to-day activities of valet runners and shuttle drivers to ensure safe and efficient work accomplishment with a focus upon positive customer service. Ensures safety of valet staff by ensuring that proper hydration and relief periods are provided, particularly during summer months. Assists valet personnel during busy periods including collecting tickets, pulling keys, keeping traffic moving, giving directions to patrons and running vehicles as needed. Ensures the timely and accurate completion of accident/incident forms. Provides excellent customer service personally and through subordinate staff by engaging patrons in a welcoming and professional manner. Participates in the selection of new employees. Processes all related paperwork including punch detail reports, schedules, leave requests and disciplinary action reports. Cashes out runners with their tips, performs office duties and answers telephones. Maintains a dependable work attendance record with extremely infrequent absences and/or lateness. Performs other special projects and duties as assigned.

Certified as a Field Training Officer. Patrolling correctional facilities to ensure it is clean, secure and well maintained. Supervising inmates throughout the day, including meal, education and recreational time. Completing incident reporting when violence or disorder occurs. Reporting breaches of security or inappropriate behavior to supervisors or higher management. Teaching juvenile offender's behavioral management techniques, basic life, problem-solving, & rehabilitative skills. Observing, recording and reporting the progress of juvenile offenders. Following medical orders & providing supervision when medical staff dispense medication to juvenile offenders

Certified as Field Training Officer, Crisis Negotiator, Crisis Intervention Officer. Maintaining control of the institution to provide for safety and security of the facility, inmates, staff, and the general public by enforcing rules/regulations/policies and procedures. Supervise and direct inmate activity in assigned areas of the institution. Monitoring and operating security controls, equipment, and computers. Operation of automotive vehicles in perimeter security and the transportation of inmates.

Monitoring CCTV throughout the hotel, responding to disturbances, and taking incident reports. Maintaining safety on the hotel property, providing customer service, and working with Wayne County Airport Police and Fire when needed.

Monitoring associate parking lots and or structure. Responding to calls for disturbances, assistance, or alarms. Enforce all gaming rules set by the Michigan Gaming Control Board and Motorcity Casino Hotel. Providing customer service. Conduct patrols in and around the casino- hotel property. Work alongside Detroit Police and Fire Departments as needed.

Screening visitors and employees, maintaining order and safety throughout the courthouse and providing prisoner transport from the courtroom to the detention area as needed. Dockets worked were Traffic Ordnance, Traffic Arraignments, Criminal Misdemeanor, and Felony Exams.

Ensuring that only authorized personnel and vehicles can access the AOA. Conducting vehicle inspections before vehicles were allowed to come onto the AOA. Providing alarm response in and around the North and McNamara terminals, whenever dispatched. Working with Wayne County Emergency Departments and Department of Homeland Security when requested, as well as providing customer service.
