I received my Psychiatric Technician license 1977 and went to work at Napa State Hospital and worked with the Developmentally Disabled population. While working the night shift In attended the University of California at Berkeley school of Social Welfare. I did not complete my degree due to the pressure of working and going to school. i left Napa and started working at Agnes's Development Center in February of 1982 where I was a group leader for 8 years. I was promoted to a Unit Supervisor in 1988 and stayed in that position until I left in 1992 to work for the Department of Social Services in 1992. I remained at the department until I retired in 2008.
