Multiple Positions Held at VA:
* Customer Service Representative (AMU/Oncology Clinic)
Serving in all my positions while at the VA allowed me to utilize my skills in serving the Veterans. I was very proficient in my jobs there and held jobs that detailed a lot of responsibilities.
As a Rater, I was able to perform all administrative tasks that enabled us to rate Veterans with percentages of disability. Also I was responsible in the coordination and facilitating after hour operations for the VA Hospital as the Administrator on Duty. This allowed me to handle prompt courteous and professional attention to all patrons both internally and externally and manage day-to-day operations of the department including scheduling tasks and assigning duties.
I became technically proficient using and updating electronic data processing (EDP) systems, such as Beneficiary Fiduciary Field System (BFFS), Veterans Benefits Management System (VBMS), VBMS-Fiduciary, SHARE, Compensation and Pension Record Interchange (CAPRI) and Fiduciary Accounting Submission Tool (FAST).
The 20-year tenure I had there allowed me to become a subject matter expert within the VA system. I developed in all areas of my professional career there and value all that I learned while serving there.
