Municipal Court Unit

• Successfully represented the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania by conducting between 75-100 misdemeanor trials, felony preliminary hearings, and various motion hearings in Municipal Court
• Preparing lists of approximately 10-15 cases on a near daily basis consisting of both trials and preliminary hearings
• Researching case law and preparing memoranda
• Supervising 15-20 certified legal interns in the Municipal Court of Philadelphia, overseeing their trial preparation and-in court performance

Felony Waivers Unit

• Successfully represented the Commonwealth by litigating approximately 30-40 felony bench trials
• Reviewed and analyzed pertinent state and federal laws and legal precedents
• Presented key evidence and exhibits during criminal trials
• Prepared and filed pleadings, motions and other legal documents in court proceedings

Major Trials Unit

• Prepared witnesses for trials by producing outlines of procedure and educating on overall case and trial details
• Interviewed witnesses and gathered public record research relevant to each case
• Litigated multiple jury trials, including narcotics distribution and attempted murder cases

Represented approximately 25 defendants in Municipal Court

• Conducted bail motions, felony preliminary hearings, and misdemeanor trials
• Conducted client interviews

• Researched and wrote a number of legal briefs and memoranda on personal injury laws in Pennsylvania and Delaware, as well as Pennsylvania’s Wiretapping and Electronic Surveillance Control Act
• Observed depositions
• Assisted in pre-trial discovery preparation

• Conducted client intakes within the Personal Injury Department
• Researched and wrote legal briefs on personal injury laws in Pennsylvania, New Jersey, and Delaware

• Created and presented three policy recommendations that proposed possible solutions on how to expand the Family First Prevention Services Act, improve college graduation rates for current and former foster youth, and provide additional financial supports for former foster youth attending college
• Presented recommendations, in congressional and private hearings, to members of the United States Congress, the White House Domestic Policy Council, and the Department of Health and Human Services
