I am a video artist and puppeteer from Detroit, Michigan.
My interdisciplinary practice combines analog video, hand-crafted puppetry, experimental animation, and installation to explore themes of play, chaos, nostalgia, and transformation through a distinctively childlike lens. I focus on abstracting and fragmenting both big and small ideas through animation, puppetry performance, and physical environments. My work frequently incorporates surreal imagery and symbolic storytelling to evoke emotional reconstruction and internal metamorphosis.
In 2024, I received the Kresge Gilda Award in Film Directing for her contributions to Detroit’s creative landscape, and my work was featured in the most recent rendition of Ann Arbor Film Festival’s Off the Screen installation showcase.
I hope to connect to the internal unworldly playfulness of the viewer, and show them a new lens of observation through dead media, video distortion, and chance.
