I stayed overnight with a college age student who has a degenerative disease. This disease affects her everyday life which causes her to need 24/7 care. I bathed, fed, administered medication, monitored her machines (feeding tube and suction), and put her to bed comfortably.

5- day summer program for Louisiana high school students interested in exploring the health career programs offered at LSU Health Shreveport- School of Allied Health Professions: Medical Lab Scientist, Nurse, Occupational Therapist, Physical Therapist, Physician Assistant, Public Health Professional, Respiratory Therapist and Speech-Language Pathologist

• Gained valuable experience working within a specific industry, applying learned concepts directly into relevant work situations.
• Developed organizational skills through managing multiple tasks simultaneously while adhering to strict deadlines.
• Participated in workshops and presentations related to projects to gain knowledge.
