  • My job consists of doing tasks and work in the chemistry wing, which include filling the printer trays, changing the coffee filters, getting the mail and delivering it to the mailboxes of the professors, completing excel sheets, scheduling, and hanging up posters for events, and new staff, and setting up classrooms for conferences or lectures
  • This job has taught me a lot about responsibility, allowed me to progress with organizational skills, and allowed me to become familiar in an office setting with staff, teachers, and students

I worked as a daycare teacher's assistant at Milestones Child Development Center from the beginning of September 2024, to the end of December 2024. During my time at Milestones I was an assistant in the classroom from 10:30am until 6:30 pm. My job consisted of monitoring play time, changing diapers, serving lunch and snack, monitoring outdoor play, recording student activities and behaviors throughout the day, and closing down classrooms at the end of the day. At the end of the day closing down consisted of vacuuming, mopping, sanitizing the materials, sweeping, and resetting planning materials for the following week. I was very flexible with switching classrooms and was able to work with children from the ages of 2-10 years old. I very much enjoyed my experience at this job, and found joy in being able to connect with the children through activities, reading, singing, and teaching them about new science topics every week.
