Detail-oriented and motivated IT professional building foundational skills in cybersecurity, currently pursuing a master’s degree in Cybersecurity and preparing for the CompTIA Security+ certification. Designed and implemented a virtual lab environment using VirtualBox, including offensive and defensive virtual machines such as Ubuntu and Kali Linux to simulate real-world cybersecurity scenarios. Configured and managed a defensive VM with Ubuntu, deploying security tools such as Splunk (SIEM), Wazuh (IDS), Suricata (network monitoring), and Tenable Nessus (vulnerability scanning). Practiced incident response and threat hunting techniques to detect, analyze, and mitigate simulated attacks in the lab environment.
