Criminal Justice graduate from Georgia Southern University with hands-on academic experience through visits to jails and prisons and interactions with law enforcement officers, correctional wardens, and formerly incarcerated individuals. Experienced in learning directly from individuals with diverse perspectives and backgrounds, developing a deeper understanding of incarceration, rehabilitation, and the challenges within the criminal justice system. Strong academic experience in family violence, including learning about domestic violence, victim support, and survivor resources through interactions with domestic violence shelter owners and professionals. Brings strong communication, active listening, emotional intelligence, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills, with a passion for helping individuals navigate difficult circumstances.
