I have worked in the dinning business for over a year. I worked as a hostess for a year, I would welcome and greet each customer or each group( party ) then take them to their table and bring along their menu's along with all the necessary items such as plates or napkins . I would also have to put each party on a waiting list if there were no tables available and let that party know how long of a wait it would be. My main job was to make each customer feel welcomed and comfortable.

As a server, I also need to welcome each guest or group and bring them over to their table. I take their orders then go over and put it into the system and when food is ready, I bring it out on a serving tray. I ask how everything is and always ask if they need extra napkins, utensil's or if they need refills on water. I also need to clean each table and bring in all the dishes to the back of the kitchen to be clean. I always make sure that I have memorized the whole menus in case the customers have any questions.
