Madison Riley

My name is Madison Riley. I am currently in school at Virginia Commonwealth University on tract to graduate with a Bachelors in French Language Studies as well as International Studies. I am currently working for a local bakery near my university while remaining a full time student. Following college, I intend to continue my studies in a culinary program and to specialize in bread and pastry. I am passionate and creative, and I am committed to delivering high-quality product. Baking is a passion of mine, and the culinary arts has always been deeply intertwined in my life. I was raised by a family who have culinary traditions, and our family is strengthened by our love of food. When I am not working, studying, or cooking, I enjoy putting my energy into creative activities that benefit my community, like crocheting and sewing items of clothing to donate to local shelters in Richmond, VA. I am looking to learn as much as I can about pastry, breads, and all other aspects of the culinary arts, and to share my passion in a way that benefits my community. As I have experienced the joy of food and community growing up, I hope to bring that to others through my culinary ambitions- one day opening my own bakery.
