With experience as a funeral director and a stage manager, I am detailed oriented, able to dedicate focus on specific tasks and projects, work with a diverse amount of clientele, and I am efficient at multitasking.
I worked with multiple theater companies in the Austin area. Jarrott Productions, Different Stages,The City Theatre, Rude Mechanics, Penfold Theatre company, and the Georgetown Palace.
Assist the director during rehearsals
Set up rehearsals
Acted as a main source of communication for the actors.
Acted as a liaison between the director and the designers.
Prepare rehearsal reports that were sent to the director, actors, and designers.
Maintain responsibility of keys to the rehearsal and performance spaces.
Time managed rehearsals
Set up props, furniture, and special effects for each performance.
Light test, sound test, visual effects test before each show.
Create call times for actors and other personnel to arrive at the theatre on the nights of performances.
Communicate with the front of house in order to maintain audience control
Run the light and sound board
Store away props, set pieces and costumes until the next performance
Communicate with designers when needs arose in their specialty (Example: A rip in a major costume piece warranted the costume designer to repair it)
Create performance reports for each performance and send them out to the director, actors, facility personnel, designers, and other concerned parties.
