Extracurricular Activities

  • Surf Club Trip Participant, 01/01/24, 01/31/24, participated in a surf trip to the American Dream Mall in New Jersey, learned how to surf.
  • High School Adele club junior year of high school. Included learning about vocations through a Catholic perspective, meeting religious sisters and learning about their lifestyles through listening and questioning.
  • Eagle Scout- Through my experience as a female scout, I earned the prestigious rank of Eagle Scout. This included constructing blue prints and action plans for the service project of my choosing, which was the construction of an outdoor bulletin board for Our Lady of Mount Carmel Catholic Church in Patchogue, NY. The project included recruitment of volunteers, project planning, project management delegation of tasks, and extensive paperwork completed before, during, and after the project. The paperwork was done in order to receive clearance from authority in the scouting organization to procure the project and to receive approval of completion of the project. Before earning the rank of Eagle Scout, I was a scout earning the lower ranks that come before the rank of Eagle. Scouting involved weekly meetings, as well as weekend hikes or camp outs. Additionally, it involved community service, fundraising (I.e. car washes, popcorn sales), and leadership. In leadership, I was the leader of my entire 30-girl troop. My title was Senior Patrol Leader, and I was voted into that position by my fellow scouts. In scouting, youth leadership is highly encouraged and relied upon in order to have successful future leaders. Planning meetings, delegating tasks, assigning other leadership roles, organizing and scheduling activities like camp outs and hikes are just a few skills practiced as Senior Patrol Leader. In scouting, I also completed merit badges and participated in high-adventure activities like sailing, rock climbing, lifesaving, and archery. Presently I am a certified and trained adult leader with the title of Assistant Scoutmaster.
  • Boating, 07/01/07-Present. I have been an avid boater my entire life, learning how to handle and operate motor boats from the age of ten. Consists of commuting from dock space to local inlet at least four hours a week during summer months.
