Accomplishments

Title: Maintaining and Forecasting time-series SmartX Multi-View Visibility for Cloud-native Edge Boxes in Multisite Cloud Playground

  • Description: Since AI (artificial intelligence)-inspired High Performance Computing (HPC) & High-Performance Data Analytics (HPDA) is now a main priority for data scientists who confront challenges of inference latency and need to manipulate large amounts of data.
  • However, the recent surge of measuring the dynamic environments, such as Cloud-native edge-based devices have been challenging for this task due to behaving non-linearly and with aperiodic characteristics during daily operations.
  • This work proposed efficient methods for monitoring operational environment with continuity to maintain and sustain reliable services over distributed heterogenous networks.
  • Propose a prototype validated solution to persistently maintain multi-view (i.e., resource-layer and flow layer) visibility data (monitoring) collection under varying situations and environments along with verification through interactive visualization support. Second, we address the significant challenges in measuring spatio-temporal data
  • Verified a novel technique of network flows forecasting model based on Long short-term memory (LSTM) and seq2seq structure, that can be used to effectively manage network traffic of cloud-native edge boxes with spatio-temporal factor.
